About the Collection Vibia Guise
The LED lights Guise by Vibia have their LED light source so skillfully integrated in the glass that it is nearly invisible. The light seems to come from nowhere. The varied collection was designed by Stefan Diez and comprises several pendant lamps, wall lamps and ceiling lamps with diverse diffuser shapes.
The diffusers are made of high-quality borosilicate glass by Schott, characterized by its strength, long life-span and small weight. The manufacturing is carefully made by hand in the workshops of the tradition house in Mainz. The most modern know-how and handicraft tradition result in a glass that convinces visually and aesthetically. Small air bubbles, inclusions and other irregularities are not flaws but testify of a handmade manufacturing. They turn each light fixture into a unique piece.
The discreetly integrated LED ribbon directs its light inside the glass that seems to shine from itself. Especially its edges and soft line pattern, engraved in the otherwise transparent glass of some models shines bright without an apparent light source. The light fixtures seem nearly immaterial, as if pure light would float in the room. When turned off, the light fixtures nearly completely vanish because their aluminium profiles and structures are minimal and the suspension systems are filigreed.
The integrated LEDs spread a bright light with a warmwhite colour temperature and a high colour rendering, generating a pleasant atmosphere. The brightness is dimmable, depending on the model with the aid of external dimmers or contactless via an integrated detector.
The shape of the glass shades differs from one model to the other. The wall lamps feature a flat plate ; the ceiling lamps have a wide cylinder and the suspensions have long tubes, suspended horizontally or vertically. The lines engraving is on the ceiling lamps' glass lower edge and along one side of the tube composing the suspensions. Despite all these differences, all lights in the Guise family can be coherently combined and enable to compose unique illumination concepts in private living rooms, in offices and public spaces. Bright accents on the wall, table illumination, general illumination and fascinating light clusters in stairwells and high rooms are possible with a design that appeals with highest aesthetics and technical perfection.
