Neri & Hu

Neri & Hu is an interdisciplinary design studio with headquarters in Shanghai, China, and a second office in London. The studio founded in 2004 by the business partners Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu works for projects in the field of architecture, interior design and graphic and product design all over the world. The design studio dedicates himself with passion to research which is considered the basic tool for good design. Instead of a formal style, their work is a dynamic product difficult to classify. In their projects, Neri & Hu give great significance to meaningful shapes. Neri & Hu masterly interpret Asian tradition and craftsmanship in a modern way. Neri & Hu's team is multicultural and speaks 30 different languages, which contributes to his designs' creative diversity.

Neri & Hu has worked for many famous European brands. One example is the Yanzi collection for Artemide, with a stylized, decorative swallow. The NH lights are a successful Artemide product bearing the mark of Neri & Hu with refined glass balls and brass hooks. The Emperor suspension for the Moooi design label has simple shades of woven bamboo which exude a modernly interpreted Asian spirit. For ClassiCon the Chinese design studio created the elegant, lantern-like Lantern table and floor lamp which displays a clear, reduced elegance suitable for modern settings.

Neri & Hu's success is reflected by the many awards. The studio was elected Designer of the Year 2015 by Maison & Objet Asia, and taken in the US Interior Design Hall of Fame in 2013. Neri & Hu also earned the Red Dot Design Award, the Good Design Award and the Design for Asia Awards.
