DCWéditions is a French brand for exclusive designer lights with exceptional character and nostalgic charm. The focus is on re-editions and further developments of 20th century design classics.
DCWéditions was founded in Paris in 2008 by Frédéric Winkler and Philippe Cazer. The two shared a passion for flea markets and the beauty of everyday objects, and from this they developed the guiding principle of their brand. Lights from DCWéditions are intended to be functional and inspiring objects that accompany their owners for many years. Their design is timeless, but by no means sober. Instead, all DCWéditions lamps are charged with emotion and history. The philosophy of DCWéditions gets to the point: the objects have their roots in the past, their use in the now and their focus on the future. All lights are carefully designed and manufactured so that they accompany people for as long as possible.
The first objects from DCWéditions were new editions of icons: the Chaise Surpil, the only chair in the DCWéditions range, but above all the Lampe Gras, an articulated lamp by Bernard-Albin Gras, which at the time had already inspired Le Corbusier inspired and today meets the spirit of the times with a functional retro design and numerous variants.
Further new editions followed, as well as collaborations with young designers, with their modern light objects also doing full justice to the typical retro aesthetic of DCWéditions. They are timeless designs that invite you to dream and have what it takes to become a classic of tomorrow. DCWéditions focuses on a few carefully selected series that are constantly being developed and expanded.
