DCWéditions
Collection Eric de Dormael Collection

With the collection Eric de Dormaël, the French design label DCWéditions presents a light collection by the sculptor Eric de Dormaël. After the light manufacture had made some high-end projects with the famous French, it included some of its special and unique works in its portfolio in 2019.

The DCWéditions lights by Eric de Dormaël are characterized by a wonderful sculptural, artful aesthetics that bears the sculptor's unique signature. These "lighting sculptures", characterized by an ethereal appearance, a fluid shape and transparency, produce a subtle interplay of light and shadow. The light reflections, the shimmer, the pattern and the vibrations that are produced dance on the walls and create pictures which leave impressions and trigger emotions.

The rechargeable light fixtures Boucle and Knokke underlie the fascination for candle light from which something magical and tender emanates. The light and dark of this light creates convivial moments and it is with this intention that Eric de Dormaël was commissioned by DCWéditions to create a light fixture. The result are the cableless, battery-operated lights Boucle and Knokke which incite to share experiences, confide in others and enable a gentle exchange and the magic of togetherness.

The LED wall lamps Map 1 and Map 2 were presented on the Euroluce Mailand 2019. The lighting works of art for walls are comprised in the Atmospheric Collection by DCWéditions which started with the In The Sun lights by Dominique Perrault and Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost. Both wall lamps appeal with sculptural shapes and an interplay of light and shadow exuding liveliness, magic and a pleasant atmosphere in the room.
