About the Collection DCWéditions Biny
The DCWéditions Biny collection is named after the French industrial designer Jacques Biny, who originally designed the lights. Today the Biny wall lights, Biny Spot lights and the Biny table lamp are produced by the design brand DCWéditions.
Efficiency and simplicity, restraint, elegance and modesty are the common denominators in Jacques Biny’s work. They are the same qualities that inspired DCWéditions to reproduce Jacques Biny’s Box lights.
To find convenient and functional lighting solutions that work in different environments was important to Jacques Biny. The Biny lights fulfill this purpose in different forms. A rectangular, box-shaped lamp body with slats ensures the recognition value of the DCWéditions collection. Also the typical small openings in the metal body, through which the light shines in a soft and subtle way, characterize his designs.
The adjustable slats are black or white and serve to refract the light and distribute it glare-free. The Biny Bedside wall light is suitable for bedside tables and contains an adjustable spot light as reading light in addition to the slats. The Biny table lamp shines with its striking base.
The small, but no less elegant Biny Spots with or without a handle are suitable for precise lighting of smaller areas.
