Claesson Koivisto Rune

Claesson Koivisto Rune was founded by the architects Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune in Stockholm in 1995. The trio initially started as a mere architecture studio which gradually turned into an internationally famous, multidisciplinary studio. Beside many architectural projects, it also created high-quality design objects. In its product portfolio there are hotels, offices, houses, stores and exhibitions, as well as furniture, light fixtures and living accessories.

Claesson Koivisto Rune has designed and shaped for over 80 internationally operating design companies, such as Artflex, Cappellini, FontanaArte, Muuto, Petite Friture, Wästberg, David Design and Dune NY. It was the first Swedish design studio to present its projects on an international scale at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2004. Claesson Koivisto Rune has been awarded over 60 awards, such as the Designer of the Year 2011, the Furniture of the Year Award 2012, the German Design Award 2011, the Good Design Award USA, the iF Product Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award - Best of the Best 2014, for its work.

As architects and designers, they always place the designing activity in a large spacial context, while their multidisciplinary approach follows a typically Scandinavian tradition. Each product by the Swedish design studio bears the characteristic signature of Claesson Koivisto Rune and excells with Scandinavian aesthetics, high-quality materials and maximum functionality. Claesson Koivisto Rune designed the Fluid suspensions made of white opaline glass and shaped like dew drops for Muuto. The Wästberg Claesson Koivisto Rune collection of minimalist and functional table lamps, floor lamps and suspensions was also conceived by the Swedish design workshop.
