About the Collection Vibia Dama
The LED lights Dama by Vibia connect technical precision and aesthetical simplicity. Both designers Ludovica and Roberto Paloma aimed at giving a modern shape to a retro archetype. The collection comprises a table lamp, a floor lamp and a suspension, all available in the elegant colours black and beige.
The delicate light head consists of a cylindrical shade of parchment paper and an internal LED ring with silicone casing, both elements simply connected together via three slender stems. The internal ring is held by a filigreed Y-shaped structure, so that there are only two small points of contact and it seems at first sight that all elements float freely. The diffuser is located along the internal ring's external side and directs the light against the paper shade so that it shines diffusely and evenly around the light fixture.
The delicate structure is made of 100% recyclable aluminium and was conceived in consideration of sustainability because it is made of a minimum amount of material. Its filigreed elegance appears in every detail, down to the base with three legs of the floor and table lamps and the thin cable of the suspension. Despite this striving for minimalism, the designers maintain a warm and nostalgic character by using delicate paper for the diffuser, a classical, tactile material with a cozy character and a soft illumination effect.
The integrated LEDs are characterized by an especially warm white colour temperature and a very good colour rendering, creating a pleasant, natural light. To adapt the lighting atmosphere as desired, it is possible to dim the brightness. The table lamp has the slender touch dimmer on the electrical cable, the floor lamp has a foot dimmer on the cable which enables an intuitive and convenient control.
Dama is a homage to classical light shapes and beside an extreme lightness and elegance, it achieves a very cozy illumination with intimate and nostalgic atmosphere.
