Louis Poulsen
PH Snowball Collection

Design by Poul Henningsen

Poul Henningsen designed his first light fixtures for a Parisian exhibition already in the years 1925/1926. The collaboration with Louis Poulsen lasted until his death in 1967. During his lifetime, Poul Henningsen wanted to create light fixtures emitting a glare-free light, casting soft shadows and guiding the light cone to the right spot. The model PH Snowball, he designed in 1958, was exhibited with the model PH5 in the museum Kunstindustrimuseet. First, it enjoyed a great interest and later was a success after it was launched again on the market in 1983.
