Flos Noctambule: inconspicuous during the day, a bright eye-catcher at night
At night in the dark the Flos Noctambule lights unfold their full potential, while during the day they live a more or less inconspicuous existence. Noctambule is a fascinating creation by the German designer Konstantin Grcic for the label Flos and forms a perfect analogy to the eponymous night owl.
Noctambule is almost completely transparent during the day while switched off - apart from the inner side arms. When the light is switched on, it turns into an impressive lighting object and spreads soft, atmospheric light.
Flos Noctambule's body consists of one or more cylindrical modules made of hand-blown glass, while the inner side arm is made of high-pressure molded steel and the rings are made of die-cast aluminum.
The magic of Noctambule lies in the LED light sources, which are discreetly located in the connection points between the individual glass cylinders. Their emit their diffuse, warm white light. The floor lamp, composed of several cylinders on top of each other, creates dreamlike pillars of light for the living room, while the pendant lamp can also be used to arrange impressive chandeliers for stairwells.
Noctambule is available in different compositions. Both the pendant and floor lamps can have one, two, three or four glass cylinders on top of each other. The Noctambule High Cylinders variant has slightly longer individual modules, while those of Noctambule Low Cylinders are somewhat shorter. In addition, other elements such as a glass hemisphere (bowl) or a conical head (cone) can complement the lamp. They have an additional LED light source for light directed upwards or downwards. Noctambule Bowl or Cone is therefore suitable as harmonious dining table lighting.
Cleaning instructions by the manufacturer: The light fixture should be cleaned with soft cloths only.
It is possible to moist them with water and soap or with a neutral cleaning product. Do not use alcohol or solvents!
