Atelier Oï

Atelier Oï

The Atelier Oï was founded by Patrick Reymond (1962), Aurel Aebi (1966) and Armand Louis (1966) in 1991 in La Neuveville, Switzerland. The name Oï comes from the Russian word "Troïka" and means trio. The studio already worked with famous Italian design houses like Artemide and Foscarini, and earned many prizes.

The dynamic trio works in the product design, architecture and set design sectors and has an interdisciplinary approach to design. Its creative process draws inspiration from smells, colours, music and light. The designs by Atelier Oï are characterized by an experimental attitude toward the materials' potential and proprieties. The design office can look back on a large number of clients in every interdisciplinary field worldwide. It already had renowned companies like Zanotta, Foscarini, Louis Vuitton, Ikea, Artemide, Bulgari, Swatch and Pfister as clients.

Since 2009, the designer trio has been working in its so-called "Moïtel" with 900 m² serving as workshop, office, showroom and material storage.

Oï's most famous creations are the Mesofär light for Ikea (1999), the Allegretto suspension for Foscarini (2007), the Stelle Filanti light for Venini Artlight (2013) and the Hive stool for B&B Italie (2013). The trio was awarded the Living at Home Award 2007 and the iF Design Award in 2012.
