About the Collection DCWéditions Soul
Soul are fascinating plaster light fixtures for the wall and were conceived and manufactured by DCWéditions in collaboration with the French-Libanese designer Charles Kalpakian. Frédéric Winkler by DCWéditions and Kalpakian met in London at a design fair where they had a conversation which enabled them to know each other and collaborate. Finally, the Soul Story wall lamps were created in which the designer unites memories of his home Libanon and the paradoxal liberty to run and play in the city's rubble after school.
Soul Story 1-5 and Soul Story Angle are plaster light fixtures which are made in such a manner as if one would walk in a dim, dark street and all of a sudden one would be pierced by a surreal light beam. Each Soul Story model has an individual remarkable shape and each has a seating or standing metallic figurine that is Kalpakian's self-portrait according to DCWéditions.
The collection Soul with 6 white plaster lights also includes a corner light and is available with or without foil gold ornament. The light of the integrated LEDs passes atmospherically and diffusely between the plaster walls and illuminates the corridors and passages in a playful manner.
