Artemide
Shogun Collection

The Shogun table lamp by Artemide was designed in 1986 by Mario Botta, and has a distinctive design, characterized by strict, geometric shapes and line patterns.

Two bent shades inside of each other, made of perforated metallic sheet, rest on a column striped in black and white. The shades' perforation is an even, narrow pattern of small bars, which filters the light, prevents glare and creates beautiful shadows in the room. The shades' position is adjustable, modifying the shadow effects. The light fixture's remarkable shape is reminiscent of Samurais' armors from feudal Japan. It is a unique eye-catcher on sideboards and side tables, and it is a statement on large desks in representative offices.
