Artemide
Mimesi Collection

Design by Carlotta de Bevilacqua

The futurist LED uplighter Mimesi by Artemide fascinates with a combination of transparency, formal clearness and mysterious light. The light fixture was designed by Carlotta de Bevilacqua who always puts the focus on human needs when creating a design. Recognising that there is no room without light, she developed this floor lamp. Because of its slender, nearly transparent shape, Mimesi does not establish a limit between light fixture and surroundings. Through the "dematerialization of volumes", and the emerging new light room, there is fascinatingly structured light which seems to float in the room.

The Artemide Mimesi floor lamp is pure light architecture. The floor lamp consists of a polished steel base, a structure of polished, recycled aluminium and a grooved, transparent diffuser of methacrylate with engraved lines.

The column has two light sources: the dimmable uplighter spreads indirect room illumination, while a discreet light source in the base illuminates the diffuser's inside and produces diffuse light which cannot be dimmed. Both light sources are separately dimmable via a switch on the cable. The light fixture is also controllable via the Artemide application.
