Artemide
Fato Collection

Design by Gio Ponti

The table lamp Fato by Artemide is a lighting sculpture by Gio Ponti in the style of the 1960s. It is at the same time a light fixture and a design object which can stand on sideboards and tables or be affixed as a wall lamp to the wall. The square metallic frame is equipped to the front and to the back with two rectangular metallic reflectors each, concealing both E14 lamps. Because of the asymmetrical, shifted arrangement of the reflectors, a complex visual impression is created, above all when the light is switched on and the inside is brightly illuminated. The result is an indirect illumination with a geometrical light and shadow play.

Fato is equippped with an electrical cable with plug and an on/off switch.
