Wästberg
w181 Linier Collection

Design by Dirk Winkel

The LED pendant lamp w181 Linier by Wästberg appears unassuming at first glance, but its design has been carefully worked out down to the last detail, and sets itself apart with sophisticated lighting technology. Linier was designed by Dirk Winkel.

The lamp body is a simple slender aluminium tube that is hanging from the ceiling on two wires. To minimize the effects of gravity on the slim metal body and to give the lamp the greatest possible stability and perfect balance, the suspension is attached at the Bessel points.

Deep inside the luminaire body is a series of 256 individual optical systems, equipped with a prismatic PMMA diffuser and a polyamide grid. The light is directed downwards where it effectively illuminates tables and other surfaces. The well-thought-out construction also guarantees that the light is glare-free, with a low UGR value (Unified Glare Rating).

The LEDs are optionally available with 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, depending on whether a warm living light or a functional work lighting is desired. In any case, the color rendering is high and ensures a natural, pleasant color perception, which is particularly advantageous for dining tables or creative activities. The mechanism for infinitely variable dimming of the light also offers great convenience: For this purpose, there are discreetly integrated rotary dimmers at both ends of the lamp body, with which the brightness can be varied without having to get up from the table.

In cases where the ceiling outlet is not in the right location, the Linier LED pendant light can also be mounted in a decentralized way. A ceiling canopy and attachment made of ABS are included in the delivery.
