About the Collection Wästberg w153 Île
The LED clip lamp w153 Île by Wästberg is a multifunctional light source that can also be used as a table light or wall light. The designer Inga Sempé used the simple clamp lamps of her childhood as guidance, but gave them a new, playful form that also skilfully integrates the advantages of modern LED technology.
Shade and structure are made of aluminium. The foot serves both as a table base and as a clamp, and also houses the COB LED, an ABS reflector and a PMMA diffuser. The light is emitted upwards, where it is reflected by the lampshade. Its delicate shape is reminiscent of a parasol. A slender rod connects it to the base and a magnetic ball joint provides exceptional flexibility. The shade can be tilted in any direction and always guides the light to the right place. The soft, indirect light is suitable for pleasant accents, as a reading light and atmospheric lighting on tables, on shelves and on the windowsill. Thanks to a large choice of colours, Île makes a strong statement even when itslight is switched off.
Île is characterized by a particularly warm white light colour that creates soft, cozy islands of light and always sets the right mood, especially in the living room and bedroom. The full spectrum LED can reproduce the entire colour spectrum of sunlight. This creates an illumination where colour nuances appear natural and accurate. The high-quality light is far superior to that of conventional LEDs proves advantageous wherever precise colour perception is important.
