Verpan
Moon Collection

Design by Verner Panton

The Moon suspension by the Verpan label is the reedition of a designer classic of 1960 by Verner Panton. It is available in three sizes: with a diameter of 34 cm, 44,5 cm and for the XXXL Moon version even with an impressive diameter of 150 cm.

The light shade consists of numerous lamellae of lacquered metal. It is possible to fan them out to obtain a three dimensional shape, resembling a ball, endowed with a charming dynamic. It has a different appearance depending on the view angle. The lamp located in the centre is concealed while its light passes through the lamellae without glaring and is spread into the room. To modify the light intensity, it is enough to change the lamellae's position.

The result is a fascinating light source named after the moon, because like the moon which gets different shapes within a month, the Moon suspension's shade also has a variable form.

The no-frills, organic design features a typical 1960's design. A textile cable complements the design.

The Moon light is delivered flat and is manually fanned out after the mounting.
