The diffuser consists of a corded textile shade of cotton, slightly resembling a doric column. Dorica's cylindrical metallic foot is uncomonly small, yet heavy enough to give the light stability. An additional, stabilizing accessory for the base is recommended to households with small children and pets.
The light stem is extended beyond the shade, covered on the upper end with leather and also serves as a carrying handle. The metallic structure in dark bronze and the shade of nature-coloured textile lend the light fixture a somewhat rustic, Mediterranean charm.
