Nemo
Parliament Collection

Design by Le Corbusier

Parliament by Nemo is a floor lamp with a double light emission which brings a plus in modern and stylish interiors thanks to a timeless shape and appealing colours. Le Corbusier designed the light fixture for the parliament in Chandigarh, an Indian city also planned by Le Corbusier. Because of its link with history, Nemo Parliament is interesting not only for design aficionados, but also for people interested in history.

The Parliament floor lamp has a straight design and appeals with harmonious proportions. It is made of lacquered metal, yet the different components are lacquered in various colours and therefore underline the construction of the light fixture. The double head of the light is connected with the wide stem by means of a joint and can therefore tilt by 180 degrees and rotate by 345 degrees. The two shades have different sizes and diverse colours, yet form a visual unity. Whereas the larger shade is directed to the front, the smaller one projects its light in the opposite direction, in the back.

There is an on/off switch as well as a dimmer on the electrical cable to dim the light intensity. The light Parliament is suitable as reading light or as appealing statement in a living room.
