Nemo
Bird Collection

Design by Bernhard Osann

Bernhard Osann designed the Bird table lamp for Nemo. As with the Nemo Neo floor lamp, the filigree Bird also plays with physical limits and stands perfectly balanced on the edge of a table. The body is a thin rod made of extruded aluminium with two kinks. The LEDs are embedded in the upper end. They emit particularly warm white light onto the table surface below.

The position of the Bird table lamp is ensured by a T-shaped support element made of polymer enriched with glass fibers. A long brass counterweight, which forms a noble contrast to the otherwise black light rod, ensures the balance. Because of this unconventional construction, Nemo Bird can only be placed on the edge of a surface, such as the edge of the desk. The brass counterweight requires space below.

Bird moves and swings, but always returns to an horizontal position. The element with the LED module rotates around its own axis, whereby Bird guarantees either indirect or direct lighting.
