About the Collection Marset Bolita
The LED table lamp Bolita by Marset is a lighting object with a brilliant dimming function. To dim the brightness, the glass diffuser is pushed back and forth on its base. With this idea, the design studio KaschKasch wished to provide a counter model to the digital world, because it puts tactility and mechanical movements to the fore.
The glass diffuser invites to be touched. Because of its flattened ball shape and compact size, it comfortably fits in one hand and can simply be moved on its base. The flat base consists of lacquered metal and its high edge prevents that the glass body is moved beyond.
The LED light source is integrated in the base and covered by the diffuser in every position. The light shines directly in the glass body's inside and is softly spread in the room. The warm white light colour and the very good colour rendering of the LEDs produces an outstanding cozy illumination, perfectly suited for the living room and the bedroom.
The on/off switch is located on the base's edge, while dimming is achieved by moving the slightly magnetized glass body - an experimental, cheerful way to operate the light fixture, thanks to which the small table light turns into a highlight.
