About the Collection Marset Bohemia
The suspension Bohemia by Marset impresses with a strikingly large shade, seemingly made of colourful glass, but in fact made of sturdy synthetics. The design by Joan Gaspar is a homage to the Bohemian glass art.
The light shade alone impresses because of its size, yet also with a solid, monolithic charm. It is reminiscent of artistic vases of coloured glass with a voluminous, curved shape.
The synthetic body is moulded by rotation and composed of two layers of polycarbonate. The alternatively convex and concave shape is achieved with a mould consisting of two parts. The shade features a production-related, vertical line that should not be considered to be a flaw but an incomparable detail of the manufacturing process.
A large aperture on the underside guides the light, reinforced by the shade's white inner side, downwards. The translucent material shines in diverse coloured hues and emphasizes shape and material in a very atmospheric manner.
The shade's size, its strong colour and its surfaces' brilliance turn Bohemia into an eyecatcher also when the light is turned off. Available in purple, green or dark amber, it adapts harmoniously to many colour settings. Bohemia radiates preciousness and warmth, and is an enrichment for living rooms and cafes, lounges and dining rooms.
