The Tubular LED lights were designed in 2020 by Sebastian Hepting and the Ingo Maurer Team. They serve as uplights, downlights or as wallwashers, simply by turning the tube. The collection comprises a suspension with two suspension points and since 2022 a table lamp hanging from the ceiling on one cable and keeping its balance with a counterweight.
Both models consist of a transparent glass tube, surrounding a diffuser featuring metallic slats. The LEDs are arranged in a row and spread an even, generously spread light. The tube is suspended on nearly invisible cables and with a textile cable - depending on the model via a ceiling rose or a cylindrical counterweight, placed on the table. Because the tube rests in the cable loop, is can be turned by 360 degrees, and shines downwards, laterally or upwards. Depending on the needs, the Tubular lights are able to provide soft, indirect illumination, bright direct light for a dining table or working place or pleasant lighting accents.
