Ingo Maurer originally created the table lamp One From The Heart in 1989 as a wedding present for friends. It was soon integrated into the regular portfolio of the label and is now also available as a dimmable LED light fixture.
One From The Heart features a red synthetic shade shaped like a heart, hold by a red and a blue wire, both charmingly winded and stretched upwards like thin arms. There is a metallic rod holding an adjustable, heart-like glass mirror between both arms. It is illuminated by the light emitted by the LEDs located in the shade, and it projects a light reflection - a heart of pure light - onto the wall or floor. By adjusting the mirror, the light heart's position and shape are modified.
The light base holds unexpected details: two round bases overlap, their difference in height being compensated by the two small crocodiles which stick out from below the base.
