Ingo Maurer
Maru Collection

The Maru pendant light by Ingo Maurer was created in 1980 and is characterized by an especially wide paper shade.

The diffuser is made of Japanese paper, which is slightly crinkled as a deliberate artistic detail. Its shape is conical and devoid of superfluous details. The shade is closed with paper at the bottom, with a central hole allowing for a direct, downward directed light to escape. The overall lighting effect is one of diffuse, glarefree and pleasant light. The crinkled surface of the shade adds lively details and complexity to the appearance.

The shade is carried by three thin metal ropes. The white electric cable runs loosely from the shade to the white lacquered metallic canopy. The red iron ring suspended above the light shade serves to adjust the light fixture in height.

Maru is not suitable for rooms with high humidity. The discreet pendant lamp is available with a cable length of 200 cm or a special length of 450 cm.
