The LED suspension Hot Achille LED by Ingo Maurer is a filigreed lighting object, reaching to the floor and connected with an electrical cable to a wall socket. The reflector can be turned full range (360 degrees) and is height-adjustable in the range of 100 cm. The light is dimmed and switched via a gliding dimmer on the cable.
Hot Achille was first designed in 1994 by Ingo Maurer and its team and is available with permanently integrated LEDs since 2019.
Because the light is supplied with current via a wall socket, a wall outlet is not necessary. The cable is simply suspended on a small ceiling fixation and is stretched thightly with a small counterweight, suspended only a few centimeters above the floor. The reflector is located on a bent metallic rod, holding with stability on the vertical cable thank to its shape, yet can be moved along it. Discreet stoppers limit the range within one meter.
The Hot Achille LED suspended light is perfectly suitable as a reading light or as a stylish accent illumination in a living room's corner. Because it is height-adjustable, steerable and dimmable, it offers a flexible illumination and takes up very little place at the same time.
Hot Achille is suitable for room heights from 200 to 350 cm.
