Fritz Hansen
Clam Collection

The suspension Clam by Fritz Hansen was designed by Ahm & Lund and is based on the model of a shell. The glass diffuser is composed of two cups which are closed or opened a crack in order to reveal the light fixture's inside like a pearl.

Clam is available in a choice of two sizes and fascinates with its materials and shapes' precious beauty. Shimmering opaline glass forms the diffuser, while the delicate metallic parts and details come in brushed brass. A black textile cable complements the design and the ceiling rose is made of brass.

Each Clam light fixture is a unique piece with a character of its own. The opaline glass can show slight differences, such as air inclusions, from one light to the other. The brass is not treated and develops a patina in the course of time.

Cleaning instructions by the manufacturer: Wipe off the dust with a dry soft cloth. Remove the stains with a soft cloth dampened in lukewarm water with a mild detergent added. Brass cleaning products can be used on the brass parts to give them a new shine. Never use abrasives or sharp-edged tools to remove stains.
