FontanaArte
Luminator Collection

Design by Pietro Chiesa

The Luminator uplighter by FontanaArte is the result from one of the first projects by Pietro Chiesa from the year 1932. Chiesa was later artistic director of FontanaArte together with Gio Ponti. Luminator was the first FontanaArte floor lamp for indirect light and is composed of a straight, thin metallic stem which joins an open cone upwards. Here, the LED light source is concealed and emits its light upwards. The geometrical rigour and design clearness turn FontanaArte Luminator into one of the most special objects by Pietro Chiesa.

The floor lamp Riluminator by FontanaArte is the new edition of the Luminator model. Riluminator is a light fixture which not only shares the same geometrical shade, reminiscent of a torch, as the classical and legendary floor lamp, but also has a light source directed upwards. The structure of the Riluminator designer light is made of technopolymer using a casting process by rotation. It is also cylindrical at the base and opens upwards into a cone in which the LED light source is integrated.

A special light dimmer for LED light sources enables to regulate the light intensity.
