Flos
Lampadina Collection

Lampadina is a popular Flos table lamp, designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1972. Originally conceived for traditional incandescent lamps, Lampadina is now delivered with a LED lamp.

The table lamp appeals with a lively aesthetics and embodies the idea that form follows function and at the same time gives a humoristic note. The oversized globe lamp is a central element. In the past, this lamp was a traditional incandescent lamp with a partly special satined finish that significantly characterized the design by Castiglioni. With the LED lamp, Flos achieves the successful transition of the generations without distorting this light's unique design. Beside the aesthetic components, also the wonderful mixture of direct and indirect illumination remains.

The Flos Lampadina table lamp consists of a coloured socket of bakelite standing on a film reel. The base is made of anodized aluminium and serves additionally as a functional cable winder for the 2,3 meters long cable. There is an on/off switch on the socket.
