The Flos Architectural Compass Box collection is composed of angular spot lights for surface mounting. They are available in two different heights and equipped with one, two or four spot lights.
The optic casing of the Flos spot light for surface mounting on walls or ceiling is made of lacquered pressed steel, the external structure is made of cast aluminium. The Compass Box spot lights are available in versions with sober surfaces such as black, white or anodized aluminium. For more rustical architectural contexts, they are offered with wood surfaces in teak or wenge.
The Compass Box Small spot lights for surface mounting with a height of 16 cm are available for GX5.3 halogen lamps or with integrated LEDs. The Compass Box Large surface spot light are not available with LEDs.
An electronical transformer and a connecting clamp are integrated in the light fixtures. The spot lights with directable system can turn by 40 degrees in all directions, and thus the light beam can be flexibly adjusted. The Compass Box Small surface lights spread the light in an illumination angle of 10 degrees and the Compass Box Large in an illumination angle of 8 degrees, it means that both produce slender light cones for a focussed spot light. The Compass Box Small LED lights are equipped with (18 degrees) spot lenses, (26 degrees) medium lenses or (59 degrees) flood lenses. Here, the light cones are somewhat broader. A protection cylinder with rotatable stem of black thermoplastics is integrated in the light fixture.
