Design by Philippe Starck

The clever floor lamp Bibliothèque Nationale by Flos is an authentic high-tech product by star designer Philippe Starck who merged a floor lamp and a book shelve into a unique and novel object. Besides it features a USB-box at the base to charge any standard smartphones.

The robust and slender structure of Bibliothèque Nationale is made of chrome-plated cast zamak, the internal shade and the lampholder are made of injection moulded and opal coloured polycarbonate. The external shade is made of plissé PVC weaving or of injection moulded methacrylate with finish. The conical external PMMA shade is available in transparent or grey fumé, silver or bronze coloured, metallised inside.

The Flos Bibliothèque Nationale floor lamp spreads diffuse, soft light in the room. The opalcoloured internal diffuser offers glare-free light whatever external shade you choose.

Cleaning instructions by the manufacturer: When cleaning the light fixture, only soft cloths must be used. It is also possible to moist them with water and soap or with a neutral cleaning product. Please, do not use alcohol or solvents!
