Vittorio Massimo

Vittorio Massimo was born in 1981 in Treviso. At first, the Italian obtained a diploma in science, yet he finally studied architecture at the IUAV in Venice and graduated from there in 2006. In 2007, he began a three years collaboration with the studio John Pawson Architects in London and started a collaboration that lasted until 2017 with the studio MZC+ in Treviso. Massimo implements private contracts, participates to national and international tenders and competitions, and won several prizes. In 2010, he was finalist for a European project in Galway, Ireland for the new concept of a town district. Besides, he was ranked second in Galleria Veneta for the New Museum and community centre and first for the conception of the historical village centre of Palozzolo di Sona in the vicinity of Verona.

During the last years, Vittorio Massimo has been focussing on the field of product and light design and has been working with major national and international lighting companies. For the Italian light brand Lodes, he designed the Ivy collection composed of suspensions with vertical ring and creative cable loops, for Fabbian the straight Pivot lights with rotatable profile. With a light fixture for Fabbian Illuminazione, Vittorio Massimo won the Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award in 2014.
