About the Collection GRAU Flying
The LED pendant light Flying by GRAU is extremely flexible: height-adjustable, tiltable and equipped with high-quality LEDs and innovative lighting functions that suitably accentuate every working and living situation. In addition, the design by Tobias Grau follows a modern aesthetic that harmonises with many furnishing styles. The ultra-flat hanging lamp for direct and indirect light is universally suitable for offices and conference rooms, above the dining table or in the living room. Its production takes place in Germany.
A flat aluminium frame holds the diffuser, which is visible as a circular surface on the top and bottom of the lamp. In contrast, the aluminium body has a square shape, but with rounded corners and edges that give it an organic look. The lamp looks elegant and dynamic, almost delicate despite its width.
Flying's dynamic character is further enhanced through its intuitive invisible height adjustment system. Both height and tilting angle can be changed continuously by manually moving the lamp in the desired position. The suspension uses four cables that run between the four corners of the lamp and the round ceiling canopy.
The two diffusers supply glare-free, large-scale and diffuse room light and generously illuminate tables and surfaces underneath the lamp. The integrated LEDs are characterised by very good colour rendering, thanks to which textures and colours appear distinct and natural. This is an advantage both in living spaces and in the workplace, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere in both contexts.
The light is continuously dimmable and its colour temperature variable using the two different modes Warm Dim and Color Tune, controlled via GRAU App. Warm Dim is meant for living spaces and lets the light colour grow gradually warmer when dimmed down. Color Tune is intended for the workplace, for offices and conference rooms and allows for the smooth adjustment of brightness and light colour between clear and sober office lighting and warm and cosy mood light. By default, the lamp is set to Color Tune. The GRAU App can be used to switch between the two modes. The app also offers other options, for example the selection and programming of lighting scenes for different activities and times of day, or the simultaneous control of several lamps. Alternatively, Flying can also be operated via Casambi.
