The extraordinary stool Allunaggio was designed 1965 by the brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Zanotta. The futuristic stool was awarded the Compasso d'Oro already in 1981. Today the stool is exhibited in the design collections of numerous museum worldwide, for example in Zürich, in Prato, in Paris. The legs of the Allunaggio stool are made of robust weather-resistant steel whereas the small seat is made of an aluminium alloy and painted grass green. The bright colour adds to the originality of the design and turns the stool into an eyecatcher. The base of the legs is made of polyethylen to prevent from scratches on the floor.
