About the Collection Wästberg w203 Ilumina
The LED table lamp w203 Ilumina by Wästberg is a modern take on the classic library lamp, uniting innovative lighting technology and elegant materials. It is available in three versions: shiny copper, brushed aluminium or white lacquered aluminium. Ilumina was designed by Ilse Crawford.
The lamp is made of metal - aluminium or copper - and consists of a cylindrical base and a wide, flat shade. A striking feature are the perforations along the edge of the shade, enhancing the design and casting an interesting play of light and shadow on the wall.
The diffuser, made of transparent polycarbonate, is located where the base and the shade meet. It directs the light into the interior of the shade, where it is reflected down onto the table surface or escapes through the perforations. The light source itself remains completely hidden, preventing glare. The brightness can be changed using a sliding dimmer on the base, whose gently gliding feel makes operating the lamp an experience. Sliding dimmer, reflector and internal structure are made of ABS.
The integrated LEDs have a high colour rendering and a warm white light colour, which makes their light cozy and relaxing. Ilumina can be used on the bedside table or on a shelf, to illuminate a desk or on sideboards and side tables next to the sofa.
The copper version is made from solid copper and will darken over time. Fingerprints, grease, water, etc. can leave stains. In order to maintain the shine of the surface, it must be regularly treated with a suitable polish.
