About the Collection Wästberg w163 Lampyre

The w163 Lampyre table lamps by Wästberg are made entirely of white opal glass and emit a soft, dimmable light. The collection includes two different sized lamps. It was designed by Inga Sempé.

The Lampyre table lamps consist of a large cylindrical base and a shade in the shape of a truncated cone. Both parts are made of hand-blown opal glass and, when the light is on, appear as a single body that spreads the light of the E14 or E27 lamps evenly, while itself glowing mysteriously. With its matt surface and clear silhouette with softly beveled edges, Lampyre gives the impression of a classic sculpture or an antique column.

While the large Lampyre table lamp makes a strong impression as a solitaire, shaping the character of an entire room, the smaller version sets friendly lighting accents on shelves and on the bedside table.

The brightness can be adjusted at any time by stepless dimming, but even at the highest intensity, the light does not dazzle from any angle and the light source is completely hidden from view. The lamps spread a soft, soothing light with an archetypal character. They are named after a French word for firefly.
