About the Collection Wästberg w127 Winkel
The LED task lights w127 Winkel by Wästberg are among the company's most successful lamps and stand out with a well-thought-out, precisely engineered design made from environmentally friendly bio-plastics. The design is from Dirk Winkel. The collection includes desk lamps with a base, surface-mounting pin or table clamp, available in black, white and grey.
The development of the w127 Winkel task lamps took three years, during which its technology, aesthetics and materials were perfected. The biopolyamide from the German chemical company BASF is light-weight and resistant like conventional plastic, but recyclable and made of 60% biological material from the castor plant, therefore being much more environmentally friendly. The material is also characterized by a high-quality, pleasant feel.
All Winkel LED lamps use an adjustable double arm structure and a compact head that can be tilted and turned sideways. The light can be flexibly directed in this way, while a touch dimmer on the head regulates its brightness.
The arms are made of pure, solid biopolyamide without an additional layer of paint, which makes them particularly resistant and durable. Springs and power cables run outside the arms as visible elements and underline the clear and functional character of the design.
The lamp head consists of several components whose design and function are precisely coordinated. The cylindrical body made of bio-polyamide contains an aluminium heat sink, the COB-LED as well as a reflector and a diffuser made of polycarbonate. It is topped off with a biopolyamide anti-glare construction that reduces light glare without any significant loss of brightness. The result is an even light that optimally illuminates large areas and can be easily adjusted. The sophisticated heat management system in combination with the polyamide material protects against overheating and makes handling the lamp safe and comfortable.
The built-in diodes are high-quality full-spectrum LEDs that display the entire colour spectrum of sunlight and achieve a high quality of light with outstanding colour rendering that far surpasses conventional LEDs. The Winkel table lamps are particularly suitable in rooms and areas where a precise perception of colour nuances is important - for example in art studios and offices studios for creative work.
