About the Collection Wästberg w103 Sempé
The LED lamps w103 Sempé by Wästberg offer high-quality light and a timeless design. The French designer Inga Sempé created the lamps back in 2010, but since then the design has been technologically and mechanically revised and refined. The collection now includes an LED table lamp, an LED wall lamp and two LED pendant lamps with one or three shades. The luminaires are available in six colours.
The rounded aluminium shade contains an LED engine made of aluminium with a polycarbonate diffuser. The lamp arm is made of aluminium and steel, the base plate or clamp of iron. A characteristic feature is the small anvil-shaped cleat, which can be used to roll up excess cable for the table and wall lamps, or serves as a connection between the shade and the suspension structure for the pendant lamps.
The design is simple and solid, reminiscent of classic workshop lights and, in the case of the table and wall lamp, offers great flexibility thanks to a simple, well-thought-out mechanism: the lamp rod can be inserted into the holes in the base at three angles of inclination; the shade can also be adjusted and directs the light precisely to the desired location, for example as a reading or task light.
The specially developed LED engine provides a particularly powerful, evenly distributed light. Its full-spectrum LEDs stand out from conventional LEDs by covering the entire colour spectrum of sunlight. They therefore have a particularly high quality of light with excellent colour rendering. This first-rate and innovative lighting technology proves its worth above all in rooms where an accurate display of colour nuances is crucial. The Sempé luminaires can be used in the kitchen and above dining tables or provide light for creative work at the desk.
