The design brand Verpan from Denmark produces lights and furniture by the Danish designer Verner Panton (1926-1998), who is famous for his unique use of form and color. Panton's main goal was to stimulate people's imagination. In particular, through the courageous use of strong colors, as well as through experiments with materials, light and new technologies, he wanted to make people perceive their surroundings in a new way. What Panton had in mind can be seen, for example, in his design of the canteen of the Spiegel publishing house from the 1960s, in which the floor, ceiling, walls, furniture and lighting formed an extraordinary work of art. But his lighting designs also reflect the artist's extraordinary philosophy on a small scale.
Verpan – named after the first syllables of the name Verner Panton – now owns exclusive rights to the majority of Panton's designs. In close collaboration with its heirs, the brand creates authentic new editions of the iconic and timeless designs, which they want to bring to current and future generations.
As a special feature of authenticity, each copy is signed by Verner Panton.
