Stone by Tom Dixon is a light collection with a simple, modern design which highlights the lamp and the marble's natural beauty. The collection includes a suspension and a wall lamp.
The light fixtures consist mainly of white marble and have an simple, archetypical shape. The cylindrical base serves as a socket for the lamp, which is framed by a shade or ring of marble, but remains visible. Stone was designed especially for use with a copper-coated lamp. The copper-coating ensures glare-free light,led inside the marble shade, and also plays a visual role in the design. Smaller brass details complements the design.
Because the marble is translucent, the shade shines soflty and in a fascinating way. The material's weight is compensated by a charming, cloud-like shimmer, which highlights the material's veins.
