The Etch lights by Tom Dixon are based on mathematical principles and appeal with an artistic construction down to the details.
The collection includes several suspensions in diverse sizes and in a choice of refined surfaces. The small Etch tea light holders complement the collection.
The diffusers are based on mathematical principle and complex, goemetric bodies, inspired by geodesic balls. They appear round at first sight, but in fact feature many surfaces with several edges pierced with thin, regular hole patterns when put together. The hole pattern is digitally acid-etched and creates an impressive shadow play which fantastically dresses up the surrounding room.
The small Etch Shade suspension and the larger Etch 50 Brass utilize a thin grid pattern, which creates a lively, changing lighting effect thanks to fluidly growing and shrinking meshes. The larger Etch Web has an appearance of its own. It has a fascinating spider web pattern with larger gaps which make the airy body transparent and lend it a delicate, feather-light note. The shadow is especially dramatic, but also when the light is turned off, the suspension has an impressive appearance.
The tea light holders have an appearance of their own. They feature small, irregular perforations of diverse sizes which create an organic impression.
