About the Collection Slamp Veli
The lights Veli were designed by Adriano Rachele and are one the most successful designs by Slamp. The extended collection comprises various wall and ceiling lamps as well as suspensions in several sizes, materials and colours, and also table lamps.
The shades of the Veli lights consist of specially developed and patented synthetic materials, Opalflex, Lentiflex, Goldflex, Steelflex and Copperflex, partly featuring special surfaces or colour gradients. The versions "Couture" imitate the structure of softer textiles, the "Foliage" versions are inspired by the shape and texture of plant leaves.
The shades' artistic shape is obtained by folding thin plastic sheets by hand and intertwining them. The result is complex and voluminous, but also charmingly light and dynamic, seemingly made of refined textiles from the world of fashion, but also robust and long-lasting. The light's glare is reduced and distributed diffusely.
Mounting, cleaning and re-lamping are made easier by a MagneticSystem, a patented way to affix the shade with the aid of magnets.
