Slamp
Avia Collection

Design by Zaha Hadid

The suspensions Avia by Slamp were designed by Zaha Hadid and have a fluid formal language, reinforced by transparency and colour gradients. The collection comprises suspensions in several sizes and various colours.

The diffusers are composed of 50 synthetic plates, each featuring a different contour and forming all together a body that has a different appearance depending on the angle from where it is viewed. The transparent material Cristalflex was specially developed and patented by Slamp. It has glass-like properties and is both robust and light. The usual suspensions' fluid and nearly bodyless character can be upgraded with a soft gradient between transparency and opaque black or white. Otherwise, the limited Avia edition suspensions radiate blue hues and achieve similarly complex colour gradients by overlapping various layers.

Two light sources provide glare-free room light and downwards directed direct light, ideally suited for the illumination of dining tables or as a light source in high rooms.
