Arco LED by Flos - timelessly famous design of the 60s meets LED technology of the future: Floor lamp Flos Arco was designed in 1962 as an alternative to ceiling lamps, and ranks among the classical lamps today. It features direct light on dining tables and coffee tables. The design of Arco LED stayed the same compared to the E27 version. Flos Arco LED lamp is characterized by a round shade from polished aluminium, a heavy, right angled base from marble, and of course the eponymous arch, in Italian "arco". This arch allows a great overhang of two meters. The base from white Carrara marble serves as counterweight, and is a particular eye-catcher.
The telescopic stem from satin-finished stainless steel allows for adjusting the range of the arch, and the height of the reflector. Arco LED has a pedal On/Off-switch with 2-step circuit on the cable providing a smooth transition between the steps. The switch comes with a memory function, which saves the last setting.
The multi-chip LED board is fixed to a ceramic plate. It features a warm-white LED lighting comparable with the pleasant light of an incandescent bulb (2,700 kelvin). In addition it is characterized by high quality of colour rendering. The light homogenously and glare-freely shines downwards through the lower acrylic glass shade, which is located in the lamp's metal shade.
Flos Arco floor lamp has a net weight of 66 kg. It can be easily carried by two men using a stick that passes through the hole in the marble base.
