Santa & Cole Básica table lamps were designed back in 1987 by Santiago Roqueta, who is now considered one of the most important representatives of Catalan design. Básica is timeless, exudes a subtle retro charm and elegantly combines nature and technology.
Básica table lamps are composed of a cylindrical rod made of birch wood in parchment colour and a conical cardboard shade. The necessary stability is given by a metal base in nickel or bronze. The light emitted by the bulb diffusely penetrates through the shade, creating an inviting, warm atmosphere. In addition, direct light downwards as well as indirect light upwards escapes through the shade openings.
Due to its considerable height of 71 cm, the Básica M2 table lamp is also suitable as a floor lamp. The Basica Minima table lamp, on the other hand, is small in size and can be placed where less intense light is required - for example on bedside tables, sideboards or shelves. Básica Batería is battery-operated.
Because of the combination of wood and beige cardboard shade, the Santa & Cole Básica light fixtures produce cozy, warm light. The light fixtures can be used in both rustic and modern environments.
