The founder of today's label Roger Pradier® was Jean Pradier who learned the tinsmith craft at the end of the 19th Century in his home country in southwestern France. He developed a big passion for this handicraft and a fascination for street lights. Jean Pradier went to Paris, collected handy tips and experiences with diverse techniques in various workshops, and founded the Atelier Jean Pradier in 1924. He transmitted his passion for exterior lighting to his two sons who soon followed his footsteps and carried forward his vision. The company Jean Pradier & sons was founded in 1948 and the son Eugène Camille Pradier, called Roger, took over the direction step by step. Roger Pradier developed the company consistently and unerringly, implemented technical innovations and new products for further uses and areas. He inherited the striving for perfection from his father and created fancy designs with extraodinary quality. He carefully modernized the company. In 1980, the company passed to the third generation. Roger Pradier dedicated himself to the expansion of the company and conquered the international market, while still respecting the company's fundamental values.
The Pradier family has shared his knowledge and rich experience, and since 2017 Tristan De Witte has been leading the company. Further on, the light label Roger Pradier® is characterized by creative ambition, high demand on production and general striving for perfection. Today the company is led by employees who drive the company ahead with passion and expertise. The company opened an office and a showroom in the 9th arrondissement of Paris in 2018.
The outdoor lights by Roger Pradier are the expression of unique knowledge on metal working. The production draws on a large expertise in deep drawing, flexure, stamping, surface treatment, mounting and quality control. New ideas for modern exterior lights come into existence in the innovative Roger Pradier planning and designing office, while the designers team's creativity is especially encouraged when taking into account bad weather conditions.
