Petite Friture
Vertigo Collection

Design by Constance Guisset

The Vertigo suspensions are modern designer classics and the most successful design lights by the young French Petite Friture label. It was designed by Constance Guisset. Because of the filigreed, softly curved shade, it sets a remarkable, graphic accent and seems at the same time charming and light.

The suspension is extraordinarily large - with a shade diameter of up to approximatively two metres and a weight of only 500 grams. This is made possible by an extraordinary, thin construction and carefully chosen materials. This shade is made of steel, glass fibre and polyurethane. The delicate struts form a large and slightly curved wheel. Once the light is turned on, the suspension produces a graphic pattern of light and shadow on the ceiling and surrounding walls. The ethereal construction starts swinging with any draught and modifies the cast shadows. Vertigo appears lively, feather-light and, despite its simplicity, appealing and emotional.

The designer, Constance Guisset, strives to "create moving objects that produce either a long-lasting astonishment or a temporary fascination."

The Petite Friture Vertigo suspension is available in two sizes and in elegant colours such as black, green, copper and white. Since 2019, it is also available in an enchanting cobalt blue and in iridiscent black. Because the light fixture can be affixed near the ceiling or deeper, it can serve for various utilizations, in bedrooms, in living rooms and above the eating table.

The power cord of the lamp is made of black textile. Ceiling rose and lamp socket are made of black ceramic.
