Oluce
The Globe Collection

Design by Joe Colombo

The Globe was designed by pionneer designer Joe Colombo in 1964 as a table lamp, suspension and wall lamp. The Oluce lights are reeditions from the year 2015.

The single components of The Globe appeal with geometric shapes, each fulfilling a determined function. The transparent ball of blown glass reveals the remarkable metallic cylinder, serving both as a reflector and base for E27 and E14 lamps. The light is partly blocked by the reflector and partly spread in the glass sphere where it creates unique reflections.

The The Globe table lamp scores with a very special aesthetics. The sphere rests obliquely on a metallic base with a corresponding cut and the metallic cylinder is directed by 45 degrees downwards. The The Globe wall lamp has a ball bent on a metallic ring. The result is a direct and indirect illumination which, combined with an extravagant appearance, adapts especially to modern interiors.

The The Globe suspensions are available in two sizes and the metallic cylinder equipped with the lamp is directed vertically downwards. The refined Oluce glass ball lamp is an incredible eyecatcher for sparkling light especially when arranged in clusters.
