The Switch light designed in 2007 by the Japanese design studio Nendo bears a name which emphasizes its special feature. The table and floor lamp is turned on and off by rotating the cylindrical light shade. The Oluce Switch lights' shade fulfills a double function. It makes the light glare-free and turns it on and off.
The classic light shade's archetypical shape was kept, yet beside the function, the material of a classic light shade was modified. For the Switch table lamp and Switch floor lamp, it consists of opaque metal and spreads the light of the E27 lamp directly downwards and indirectly upwards.
