Oluce
Colombo Collection

Design by Joe Colombo

The Colombo collection appeals with a timelessly functional formal language. Back in 1971, it was one of the first light fixtures ever to be equipped with an halogen lamp. Today it is regarded as one of the most famous designer classics by the Italian designer Joe Colombo, and is still an Oluce bestselling light today. The following versions of the Colombo floor, wall lamps and suspensions have been presented in 2020, and are now equipped with integrated LEDs.

Thanks to a clear and functional construction, the Colombo light appeals with technique and modernity while adapting in classically furnished, cozy interiors. The reflector head is height adjustable along the vertical metallic stem. It projects its light upwards and serves as an uplighter for indirect light. It is also freely adjustable, for example in oblique position to the side or downwards. The head's simple appearance is loosened by slots in a narrow arrangement. Smooth curves are responsible for a harmonious and elegant appearance.

Colombo is available as a floor lamp, a wall lamp or as a ceiling lamp, all featuring the same construction composed of a metallic stem, a reflector head and sometimes a freely running electrical cable. The overall impression is always harmonious and well-balanced, and - thanks to the loose cable and adjustable light head's position - creates a nonchalant and relaxed impression. The light stem is always chrome-plated, while the base is available in black or anodized bronze.

The light fixture is a design statement in living rooms and bedrooms, sets strong light accents and serves as an uplighter for indirect light. Even when switched off, it appeals with a decorative, elegant accent and a futurist touch.
